Book Keeper

Position: Book Keeper / Payroll Officer
Location: Ballarat (Head Office)
Remuneration: Part Time / Contractor

We have a Part-Time Position for a Book Keeper; which are responsible for the following:

Summary Of Position

The bookkeeper keeps the books for Eureka Taxis including accounts payable and receivable.  Responsible to maintain financial records, fact check financial data and update financial statements.   Book keepers ensure accounts are current and accurate, using Quickbooks, to track and manage data.

Bookkeeper’s Roles and Responsibilities

  • Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
  • Verifying that transactions are recorded in Quick Books
  • Making sure books are balanced up to trial balance stage.
  • Enter data, maintain and monitor financial records and create reports and financial statement
  • Pay invoices on a fortnightly basis
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
  • Weekly reporting

Requirements and Skills

  • Have bookkeeping experience
  • Sound knowledge in Quick books, Computer Skills
  • Have experience in Bookkeeping and Accounts Payable/Receivable Principles
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office, Excel
  • Customer services orientation and negotiation skills
  • Able to meet deadlines, trustworthy and honest as you will be privy to so much confidential information.
  • Qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
